May 15, 2015 by Amanda R DeWitt

5 ways to RELAX that are actually good for you! via @semihealthnut at semihealthyblog.com

Here are some easy ways to relax that are actually good for your health. As opposed to some that might not be as beneficial…like drowning your sorrows in booze, ice-cream and/or hours upon hours of Netflix. (Let’s be honest; we all do this on occasion.)

8 Tips for Moving to a New City or State via @semihealthnut at semihealthyblog.com

First of all, I need to say that I’m not an expert on the topic of moving. After a month I still feel like I am settling in and learning new things about my new city and state (and still getting lost)! I can offer a few tips on moving to a new city based on what I have learned so far! I hope this can help anyone who will be relocating from their hometown.

May 11, 2015 by Amanda R DeWitt

chocolate covered strawberries with sprinkles with sprinkles

Sunday was Mother’s Day and I had this idea in my head that we needed to make some chocolate covered strawberries. I had seen them while I was surfing Instagram (that’s a thing, right?) not once, but twice and became obsessed with the idea. Not that chocolate covered strawberries are a new thing…I just got really excited to try it!

Honey Roasted Almond Butter + Some News!

May 6, 2015 by Amanda R DeWitt

make your very own almond butter all drippy and delicious. via @semihealthnut at semihealthyblog.com 2

This homemade honey roasted almond butter is slightly honey sweet and dreamy creamy goodness on your morning toast. I’m pretty sure this stuff disappeared in 4 days flat. And Dave barely had a taste of it…it was just this nut butter monster slathering it on toast, tortillas, a cookie (ohmigosh)…really anything.

Healthy Veggie Burger with only 6 Ingredients

April 8, 2015 by Amanda R DeWitt

healthy veggie burger with only 6 ingredients

This healthy veggie burger packs a punch of nutrients including tons of fiber into one tasty package. I thought this recipe was so interesting since one of the main ingredients is the leftover pulp from your juicing excursions. Of course you don’t need to have juice pulp…it would just add some nice flavor and fiber. Woot.

Nebraska Leprechaun Chase 10K Race. The obstacles, fun parts and my results! via @semihealthnut at semihealthyblog.com

I had the privilege of racing with sister Courtney at her first ever 10K race: The Nebraska Leprechaun Chase 10K. It’s a super fun race, but definitely not for those of us who don’t train very well.

Lemon Snickerdoodle Funfetti Cookies

March 25, 2015 by Amanda R DeWitt

Lemon Snickerdoodle Funfetti Cookies 2 via @semihealthnut at semihealthyblog.com

The light, airy, buttery cookie gives off a bite of tart lemon and is offset perfectly by the signature snickerdoodle cinnamon/sugar coating. This is the perfect dessert to welcome in spring, bring to your family Easter shindig, or just to satisfy your sweet tooth.
