Oh man I was looking through some draft posts today hoping that I would find something I could finish and throw on the blog so we can get heading back to the twin cities….and I found this old gem! It was a guest post for Heather almost 2 years ago! It’s funny how much can change in such a short period of time! For instance, I now live in Minnesota!
I hope you have as much fun reading the answers to these throwback questions as I did re-reading it! I will be back this week to announce the winner of the Apera bags giveaway, with a yummy sweet recipe, fitness tips, possibly another giveaway AND a Did You Know link-up! (This week the Did You Know will be posted on Thursday so you can enjoy your long weekend!)

Intro questions:
I’m from Omaha, Nebraska and have lived here my whole life! I go to school in Lincoln (an hour away) and drive there three, sometimes four days a week now so I might be moving there soon-ish.
Also, just fyi…Nebraska is not all cornfields! But my BF’s family owns a farm a couple hours west so I do enjoy hanging out there on occasion. In the cornfields. ๐
We are silly. |
Um those are my hobbies haha! I used to scrapbook but blogging feels like scrapbooking a little especially when you get all fancy with photo collages. I also run sometimes. And watch Netflix (that’s a hobby, right?).
Blogging:
Well I love blogging about semi-healthy baking and my Whole Wheat Lemon Doodle cookies made a lot of people drool…including me.
I also like posts where I open up about things because those seems to help people, like my I am a Christian post.
3. What was your most memorable moment from the Blend Retreat?
Maybe seeing Lindsay drunk? Errr tipsy? (She hadn’t had a drink in YEARS!) I also think this is when I found out Heather is awesome AND Christine bought me tequila…that was a fun night! ๐
Food:
I usually do some form of nutbutter on toast or on a toasted waffle. This week it’s been creamy peanut butter on a toasted Kashi wholegrain blueberry waffle topped with mini chocolate chips and sliced almonds.
I think since blogging I’ve switched to whole grain flour in baking and I really enjoy the taste as well as the satisfying feeling of a “semi-healthy” dessert.
Peanutbutter. Or maybe cereal with chocolate chips. I think I eat them every day now!
Fitness:
I love putting on my ipod and listening to my worship tunes running outside. Those are the BEST runs!
Recognize the shirt? |
Well as of now…there isn’t one planned this year. I really don’t have the dedication during this semester that I need. When I do train, I only try to run three days a week and then do strength training twice a week. Gotta let the muscles repair!
I’ve always been a workout DVD gal, but I also try to get outside when I can (and when my allergies don’t hate me).
I usually do a small protein shake. If I’m feeling fancy, I turn it into a berry yummy shake. ๐

You wrote these answers 2 years ago! WHOA! Some of those things I have only just discovered, you are so far ahead of me in the blogging world! It is interesting to see how far you have come though1 Travel safe back ๐

I’d say I’ve progressed pretty slowly with blogging haha but in terms of how old the blog is, sure I may have you beat. ๐ It really is interesting to look back at these answers!

Your breakfast looks delicious! And my kryptonite is definitely peanut butter also ๐
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut

So this guy I like works at a restaurant and bar and I go once a week, with different friends and we never sit at the bar (yeah, he’s a bartender). We went on a couple of dates and even then, I still come in because my friends LOVE the fancy drinks and food (best mac and cheese ever). I hope it turns out as well for me as it did for Dave. ๐

You really never know!! He better be deserving of your attention though!! You deserve a good guy! <3

My emergency Fat bomb is almond butter, coconut oil, stevia, and shredded coconut. I keep a small container in my purse wherever I go in case I get hungry! I guess that would be my go to food.
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut
haha emergency fat bomb?? I suppose that would keep you full!
Kaitlin
LOVE all these questions ๐ It’s so fun to learn about people, especially now that we have met! I have totally encountered one of those first dates where I totally thought more people were coming. Oops ๐
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut
haha I’m glad I’m not the only one! It was weird at first and I almost cancelled, but I’m glad I went!
