I am about to share with you a late night snack that I’ve been having for months. Not every night..but it is a great option for when cereal doesn’t sound so great. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
It is also an easy snack that could possibly be used for a major football game coming up as an appetizer, whatever football game that may be (Superbowl, maybe?). I most likely won’t be watching said football game..I literally have no idea who is even playing. The only reason I know it is even coming up is that I work at a sports bar.
When I think about it, a sports bar is not the greatest fit for me at all, but begging students can’t be choosers right?
Quick Turkey Nachos
- Whole grain scoops chips
- Deli turkey (Yep. Deli turkey.)
- Mexican shredded cheese
- Salsa or pico
How To:
- Lay out scoops on a plate.
- Shred turkey and put a little into each scoop.
- Cover with as much shredded cheese as you would like.
- Microwave 30 seconds.
- Scoop salsa into each scoop as you go!
- Whole wheat + protein + dairy + veggies = awesome snack.
If you will excuse me, I must flee to the store to get the ingredients for these!
P.S. I will be hosting a Valentine’s recipe/project link-up later this week so be on the look-out! I made some delightful raspberry cookies that I will also be sharing there!
Are you hosting a Superbowl party? Or could you pretty much care less about the game like myself?
(I read in the book Will Write for Food that the best length of a blog post is 250 words. This one is 275 excluding the words in these parenthesis…do you think this is a good length for a post? It feels short but maybe I’ve been babbling too much all this time.)
