Hey friends and happy Friday! I’m slowly but surely getting back into running AND yoga, so I thought this round up of yoga poses to prevent running injuries would perfectly meld the two together!
Running injuries are very common and I’ve learned through experience that when training for a race, you can’t JUST run. You need some cross-training, stretching, and some kind of strength training. These yoga poses will help strengthen the supporting muscles (that may become weak if you only run) and help stretch out the areas that tend to get tight from running.
I’m currently training for my third half marathon (remember my second half marathon in May? seems like yesterday!) and I will definitely be incorporating these moves into my training!

Yoga and running go hand in hand for so many reasons. Injury prevention is one of the big reasons. This is one of those things I wish I knew when I started running. Thanks Amanda and have a wonderful Wednesday!
