Happy Monday, friends! It’s time for another round up of inspiring posts so get ready and get excited. If you’re a blogger you also have the opportunity to link up your own post below! Today’s feature is semi- healthy ranch recipes, but you can link-up whatever makes sense for you!
Weekend Fun
How was your weekend? Mine involved work and a very short attendance of a bridal show.
[ PS don’t I do a good version of that emoticon?? ]
I apologize if you LOVE events like that, but…I was not super into it. There was, however, free mimosas and a cute nephew who wore what I’m assuming was the bride’s tiara. He received many compliments.
Maybe it was just too overwhelming with the crowds and vendors and flashing lights (at the dj booths), but I feel like I might do better with a stack of magazines, a couple of friends/sisters, some wine and Big Bang Theory in the background. Or pinterest.
I’m glad my sisters went with me, though! Even though it was a bajillion degrees out!
I DID get a couple of ideas…
1. Wedding planner.
2. Wine and painting night for a bachelorette party.
I think I might actually be done planning..?
4 Semi- Healthy Ranch Recipes
Living with the Daddio, I don’t have a lot of fridge space (it’s like a roommate situation as opposed to living with Dave where we did grocery shopping together). Something that I DO have in the fridge is ranch. I thought about this as I looked through last week’s posts, trying to decide which ones to pick as my favorite. In 200+ posts, it can be a little tough!
It’s okay though, I found 4 semi- healthy ranch recipes in the link-up to share with you. How randomly amazing is that?
Ranch is such a simple ingredient, that I usually only think of it as a salad topper or veggie dipper. But it turns out you can use it a lot of cool ways.
1. Bacon Chicken Ranch Pasta Salad by About a Mom
This one would have been super handy for taking to fourth of July get-togethers, but it still looks like a perfect summery side dish.
2. Cucumber Ranch Turkey Wraps by Flour on My Face
First of all, how adorable is that blog name?? Secondly, I need to get out of my head with making recipes—this one totally inspired me to document my day-to-day eats because (like a lot of what I eat) it’s simple, looks so tasty and it’s definitely semi-healthy. And I’m alll about wraps lately!
3. Pretzel-Crusted Ranch Baked Avocado by Homemaking Hacks
Okay, that’s a creative recipe right there. Also I’ve been a little obsessed with pretzel chips lately (if you follow in Instagram or Snapchat [ semihealthnut ] you might have noticed I’ve been snacking on them a lot) so this sounds tasty. She’s also hosting a ranch giveaway that ends on the 14th, so check that out!
4. Roasted Garlic Chicken Ranch Burgers by Penny Pincher Jenny
How have I never put ranch in a burger?? So easy!!

Side note: I found out why all of these recipes have to do with ranch…they are sponsored posts by Hidden Valley. I have no issue with sponsored posts (duh, I do them. gotta put food on the table and gas in the car!), but I wanted to point out that THIS post is in no way affiliated with Hidden Valley. Just a coincidence.
Now that I’m feeling all inspired by these ranch recipes, I’m off to the store! I might melt a little bit on the way because it’s scorching here in Nebraska…but maybe I can cool off a bit with one of these ranch recipes. (<- get it? cool. cuz ranch has a cool flavor…cool ranch..okay I’m done.)
Have a great week, friends! I’ll be back this week with a recipe..finally! 🙂
