Single Serve Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cake in a Mug

November 12, 2013 by Amanda R DeWitt

We all deserve a treat or two every now and again! One of my favorite ways is a literal treat for my belly..in the form of a Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cake in a Mug!!

Whether it’s going to the movies with your man…even a freaky movie like Gravity. Have you seen it?? We figured it would be a great movie with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney and all, but I had no idea how much suspense there would be! Seriously, the whole time I either felt like I needed to close my eyes because they were showing dizzying things through a first person camera or wondering how the heck they were going to get out of this or that mess. I discovered being trapped in space would probably be worse than under water (which is a fear of mine). Also Sandra Bullock looked amazing when she got down to her knickers. Just sayin.

Anyways…this post isn’t a movie review, Amanda!

latte winter wonderland latte(PS Don’t forget about my Thankful Thursday link-ups this month for the #30daysofthanks challenge!! I am loving the links from last week!)

A treat can also be getting a coffee with said man. And buying new coffee thermoses because you got him addicted to the sweet caffeinated nectar of the gods (coffee!!).

his and hers coffee thermos

(PS Dave did NOT want to take that cheesy picture of us with our new mugs…but I got him to muahaha.)

Funny thing is that Dave’s thermos is so ginormous (aka “manly”) that it won’t even fit under our Keurig! We now have one of those glass measuring cups sitting by the coffee things. So the coffee can brew into that and be poured into the “manly” thermos. sigh

You could also treat yourself to a manicure. Make sure the ring finger is a different color so that you feel fancy. A darker color might even make you feel sassy.

But the most obvious treat that you deserve comes in the form of…chocolate! And a little pumpkin spice!

Dave and I had a super relaxing evening on Friday, treating ourselves to an extra chocolatey version of this chocolate chip pumpkin cake in a mug.

With whipped cream. Oh my golly it was perfect with a hot cup of tea and watching Impractical Jokers. Have you seen this show? Four guys from Jersey basically dare each other to do crazy things often involving being super weird in public. I was laughing histerically the whole time! Talk about a needed treat! ๐Ÿ™‚

Tell me…

How do you treat yourself?

Have you ever made dessert in a mug??

We actually got both of those mugs from Caribou coffee! I love mine…like a combination of a giant mug and a thermos with the lid!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I felt the same way through Gravity. Tim and I went out for date night and chose that. I was kinda disappointed that we went to that one for the rare times we caught a movie. Surprised since the reviews were so good.

I love your coffee mug, so cute! Sadly I’m not a coffee drinker but I do love me some coffee mugs. I just stick with filling mine with tea ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh I thought it was a good movie, but yeah that part where she was spinning and spinning and spinning…I had to close my eyes!!

Tea is definitely a good thing to put into a mug! ๐Ÿ˜‰

This sounds and looks really, really good. I’m going to have to find that creamer and make this. Kathleen @ Fearlessly Creative Mammas
