Yes, I still have a Blackberry phone. I just can’t seem to get into the touchscreen typing. It drives me nuts getting wrong words from people because of their phones. Although I would like some of the cool phone features…can we please come out with a slide-out keyboard for the iphone or Android?
Looking at the pictures in my phone, I’d say 80 percent of them are food-related. It’s pretty apparent I love my food!! I decided to unload some of the pictures on the blog.
(More about my WIAW posts here.)
Village Inn Egg White Omelet with Peppers, Applesauce and Hashbrowns (that I didn’t even ask for?) |
Christmas morning Dave and I went to breakfast at Village Inn with my Grandma Rose and Dad.
She was so excited to go since her friend that she used to go with moved to Florida.
Dave’s “why are we taking a picture at Village Inn” face. |
Actually I still need to eat the leftover pumpkin pancake!
Broccoli with breakfast? Yes please! |
We went out to eat one night for Dave’s dad’s birthday a couple of weeks ago and my tummy was feeling a little upset from food I ate at a Christmas party the night before, so I literally ordered the side platter. I got 3 sides of veggies and a bowl of applesauce.
It was surprisingly satisfying and no adverse affects!
We used one of my many Christmas giftcards and went to Panera last week.
Dave (the BF) and I both got bread bowls which were delightful. Dave then attempted his own bread bowl…which consisted of a Hy-Vee bought bread bowl with Campbell’s chunky chicken noodle soup. It wasn’t bad!
PS Do you like my new glasses below? I haven’t had new ones since high school so I thought it was about time!
Dave’s phone takes WAY better pictures! |
We got to enjoy a copy-cat Olive Garden potato soup with our friends Emily and Joe last week as well.
They made fun of me for using my big bowl to put salad in…I don’t get what’s so funny? 😉 |
Emily has a guest post coming up on the blog soon about meal planning, so stay tuned for that!
I babysat this past weekend and got to enjoy some kiddie snacks. Hooray for goldfish and pretzels!
Dave and I made THE BEST lasagna with ground chicken, pureed peppers and spinach and all kinds of yumminess.
I will have to share this with you all very soon!
And last, but not least, I made some oreo treats for the two New Year’s Eve celebrations we attended. They were going to be oreo balls, but just ended up being almond-bark coated oreos. I only had an hour to make those and get ready!
You can’t go empty handed to a party, right??
If you like link-ups, check out my “best of” or 2012 recap link-up! I think it’s a good practice to reflect on the year and try to set goals for the new year. I’m also hosting one tomorrow for all the New Year’s Resolutions!
Much love!

They actually do make androids with slide out keyboards. I’m afraid to get one with a slide out because I worry that I’ll break it. I put my salads in huge bowls also. I find that it’s easier to control if it’s in a large bowl. I also get the side veggie platter often too. Since I don’t eat meat and I’m on a very low-fat diet sometimes that’s all that’s available for me too eat.

Hmmm I will look into that android phone!
And those veggies were delicious so I didn’t mind not having a “main” course!
