Wow I am surprised at this round-up. I actually picked healthy foods…I’m pretty sure the last couple of Friday Five Foodie Finds consisted of desserts. Semi-healthy desserts on the last one, but desserts nonetheless.
I will probably be headed out to my cardio fitness class at school, listening to Chronicles of Narnia on my hour-long drive, when you are reading this post and/or have already started the horror that is ladder sprints and circuits. Just kidding. They aren’t too horrible…
Or I will possibly be in my Chemistry class, eyes glazed over and thinking only of how delicious it will be to sleep in on Saturday. Oh yes, sleep is a delicious thing.
Here are five things that I saw on other talented blogs that I MUST try!
Here’s a lovely looking vegetarian burger for my potential vegetarian days. If you recall, I did a series when I was starting back to school called {Vegetarian Curious} because I was fascinated to see why some folks choose that lifestyle. I’ve decided I am cool with going veggie a day or two each week, which I have been doing, but kind of in the way that I just eliminate meat and not substitute healthy proteins like I should be.
I used to work at Chili’s (read my part-time job rant if you like) and loved ordering the “encha” soup before my shift. With extra tortilla strips and pico de gallo on top. Yum.
I was actually in Kristin’s city this past weekend and went to the Food Festival that she was judging some kind of competition at, but unfortunately she…didn’t see my tweet or something because I was planning on hanging out with her and becoming BFFs. Sad day. At least I got to sample some amazing food and cupcakes! (As if cupcakes aren’t food??)
“This is what happens when summer meats fall.” And what a lovely happening it is! Sitting in my cold basement typing this post is making me wonder why I picked a frozen drink to feature…but it does look pretty tasty doesn’t it?
This gal cracks me up! I read every single snarky-smart word on her posts...and that’s saying something! I tend to be a blog skimmer, but this is one blogger who makes me curious to see how the story will end. Sometimes she makes references to pop culture or 90s movies that I have no idea what she’s talking about (but I read anyways) but this one she made fun of Paula Deen and her lust for butter. I got that one. 😉
This gal is a super talented chef and she is a good food blogger. Why is that? Because she takes time to perfect a dish before sharing the recipe, testing it over and over…whereas I just share recipes that I think are yummy and toss the ones that aren’t so great. (Yes, there is a difference.) She’s also the genius behind WIAW {What I Ate Wednesday} and host a massive link-up party..you should definitely head over to her blog sometime.

I really should be getting to sleep (eek it’s already 1am and I haven’t even packed my bags for tomorrow {yep, bags, gym back and backpack}).
Much love to you all and have a great weekend!
What are you up to this weekend? I might be swing dancing tonight (err trying to), testing Halloween drinks Saturday, and celebrating the bro’s 20th birthday. Holy moly that last one makes me feel old!
What’s your favorite fall drink?
I really like pumpkin lattes. Seems standard for a food (ish) blogger, but it’s the truth.

Ugh, we just celebrated my little sister’s 20th…I felt old too! Lol
So far, the only plans I have for this weekend is hitting up the farmer’s market…I missed it last week and now my fridge is looking pretty sad! :-/
Have a great weekend girl! Be care swing dancing…probably best that you’re not combining that with the Halloween drinks on Saturday! 😉
