My sweet tooth seemed to be in full-fledge action the past couple of weeks as I gathered recipes that I want to someday make or that inspire me or that quite simply look mouth-watering.
All of these recipes are deemed by me to be semi-healthy. Meaning that there is some form of healthiness in them such as pumpkin or zucchini. Not uber-healthy…because they are desserts. Duh.
Please enjoy drooling over these while I am in class today from 10:30 until 4:30…two of the classes being a Chem lecture and a 3 hour Chem lab. Awesome! Not! (Yes, I still say “NOT!” when I’m being sarcastic.)
Please enjoy this edition of Friday Five Foodie Finds!
Katie’s blog consists of solely semi-healthy…or even healthy-ish sweets. If I had her skills I would start a blog solely on baking healthier, and I still might in the future, but would I come up with something as decadent as birthday cake reeses? Also she quotes Alice and Wonderland so her post is entertaining as well as drool-worthy.
Yes, Katie has two recipes featured this week. I really can’t help that in the past three weeks I found two of her recipes that I went “eeeee I need to make this!” (This is what I did with Heather’s food last FFFF.)
This has both pumpkin AND zucchini in it. I’ve never made anything with zucchini…but this recipe makes me want to try! Jenn is super funny in this post (if anyone can come up with a better for the food pictured…comment below ;)). I’m also super happy for her because her man is back after seven months of serving in the military. She makes me re-think having pity-parties for myself when I don’t see Dave (the BF) for two weeks because he works out of town.
I actually attempted to make rice krispies after seeing this recipe with things that I had on hand and it was SUPER messy (I didn’t really follow her recipe) and the marshmallows I used were super old and…carmelized? I might share the fail with you in a later post because they were still yummy and I like to laugh at myself.
The recipe creator, Calee fell and sprained her ankle yesterday! You should tell her to get well on her blog or Twitter. 🙂
Another dessert with zucchini?? I think my brain is trying to tell me I need to try this whole baking sweets with veggies inside. Or maybe vegetables are on the brain because of my Vegetarian Curious series. Who knows! I do know that these look delicious and perfect for bringing to a party!
If you were featured, please grab the “button” below to tell everyone how awesome you are! 🙂
I need to get my booty to school now! Have a great Friday everyone!
PS Follow me and tweet me on Twitter! I have nothing better to do in class. 😉
