Hello again!
I don’t usually post twice in one day, but I just might start doing that on Wednesdays. Mama Sue sent me a post yesterday! She hasn’t sent me anything for the past couple of weeks, and not wanting to be pushy, I said nothing. It’s so funny because I was sitting and wondering if she would be sending me anything for Wednesday and then *buzz buzz* my phone notifies me of a new e-mail. 🙂
If you don’t already know, my Mama Sue is on her way to losing 50 pounds the healthy way.

She seems to be experiencing something we can all relate to. There is always the initial excitement that goes along with setting a goal and going out to achieve that goal. Then there are those moments when we realize that we are human, and have stumbled in our path. When this happens, it is okay! We just need to refocus, set new goals, and get excited again.
I know I tend to get a little melancholy when things aren’t going as I had planned. My running for example. (That is another story)
She seems to be getting out of that funk and I am exited for her! Here’s the post from my lovely Mama Sue. Enjoy!
{“Back in the Saddle” by Mama Sue
So, apparently when I bought my new bathroom scale it wasn’t properly calibrated and my weight was wrong. Either that or I gained back four pounds (!!) but I prefer the former explanation.
Bummed out? You bet! So I moped a little and nursed my wounded ego for a while and now…back in the saddle again!

News Flash: This number DOES NOT determine your beauty or worth…You Are More. Source: Life is Beautiful Blog |
Last week was a washout for workouts. I usually walk 20-25 minutes before picking up my 11-year-old from school and then it’s just five minutes to get back home. She only went to school two days last week because she was sick one day and there were parent-teacher conferences Thursday and Friday. In other words, I need a new plan.
I have been working nights for well over seven years now. My “prime time” is when I usually wake up, around 3:00 PM. Even if I don’t work the night before and sleep, I still feel groggy all day and begin to perk up around three or four. I know that studies show that people who work nights do much better when they keep the same schedule all week, but having a sixth-grader in the house makes that challenging, to say the least.
I have exercise videos from way back when…and I have decided it’s time to dust them off and get crackin’. Walking can be my back-up workout, or my *second* workout of the day. If I get up at 2:30 I will have time to work out, take care of the dogs and then walk to pick Rachel up. This is my new plan. And since I work tonight, it starts tomorrow.
Wish me well!}
Thanks for stopping by again today! And leave Mama Sue some love and encouragement! I am super duper proud of her progress. 🙂
