Blend Retreat 2015 was amazing! I am coming away from the experience refreshed, full of inspiration and ready to take on the world.
weekend
[IMM Link-Up #9] Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Sunday was Mother’s Day and I had this idea in my head that we needed to make some chocolate covered strawberries. I had seen them while I was surfing Instagram (that’s a thing, right?) not once, but twice and became obsessed with the idea. Not that chocolate covered strawberries are a new thing…I just got really excited to try it!
[IMM #8] 7 Homemade Fruit Snacks + Blend Love
I was super inspired by a project I did for Mode Media last week where I decided to find different fruit snacks you could make at home with fresh fruit. These are all healthy, fun ideas the whole family will love!
Happy Things #3
I just tend to stress about eve-ry-thing.
To remind myself that life is good, I’m doing another Happy Things post.
Mini Sausage, Spinach + Hash Frittatas
These adorable little frittatas are the perfect dish to prepare ahead of time for a week’s worth of healthy breakfast on-the-go! Super customizable too!
Pumpkin Patching in Nebraska
I got to go back to Nebraska a couple of weeks ago like I talked about in my Thin Mint Cookie Pie post! I feel like we go back a lot..maybe a lot more than most people who live away from home do. I think both Dave and I miss our family a whole lot and can’t wait to move back. I wanted to share a little recap to a. show you all my yummy eats, b. show you some Valas Pumpkin Patch (and cute nephew) pictures and lastly c. brag about my run.
The Happy Things Series
I’m totally fine with sharing the struggles that go on in my life or having a negative opinion on something. I think that is necessary to having a genuine blog. Some things in life are good and some are bad, right?
The thing is, I don’t want my little space on the internet to be a total downer. There is so much in life to be happy about and I want to start high lighting those things every once in awhile. I know it benefits me to look on the positive side of things and hopefully it will remind you of the happy things in your life as well!
Eating and Staying Active Back Home in Nebraska
We made it back to Nebraska this past weekend! There was much eating, drinking and laughing and I even managed to stay active!
Foodie Finds in Des Moines
A small group of bloggers decided that since the Healthy Living Summit got cancelled, we should still get together. It’s weird to think about if you don’t have internet friends (or blends..blog + friend = blend), but these gals are some of my closest friends. We met due to common interests and our personalities seem to meld really well. Plus we all love food and fitness. Thus the zillion food/drink stops AND a little dose of active fun.
Crashed Ice + Fun Things Jar
After a fun-filled weekend including attending Crashed Ice 2014 in St Paul, I added a few items to my fun things jar. Read more here!
