It’s time for another Inspire Me Monday Link-Up, friends! I share stuff that’s been inspiring me lately (along with some weekend recaps usually) and you get to check out all of the inspiration linked up and add your own if you are a blogger!
Weekend Fun
I’m counting seeing Emily Kinney as part of my weekend because…I’m so excited I got to see Emily Kinney aka Beth from The Walking Dead! This is the sole reason we went back to Nebraska last week.
The music was a little more teen drama than I was prepared for, but the girl has a gorgeous voice. She sang a song accapella and I got tears in my eyes it was so beautiful.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet her since we were in Nebraska and she had a million family members to talk to and by the time she was done, it was 1am and apparently she was tired or something. I DID happen to see an old high school friend who works there and she got me a signed copy of her new CD though!
We also saw a Bert Macklin look-a-like (Parks and Rec anyone? it’s Chris Pratt basically) so Dave got his picture with him.
Sunday I got to see Mellissa again because we were both invited to the Q. Cumbers 25th Anniversary yoga + brunch shindig! Sometimes it pays to be a blogger.
I am proud to say that I did not die in hot yoga (even though Mellissa insisted I take a level 2 class instead of the level 1 class I planned on) although I was quite the sweaty mess by the end. Do you do hot yoga? I’m not sure I see the appeal of it being THAT hot, but it did make me excited to get back into yoga. It’s going on the calendar this week!
Today’s Inspiration
I was going to share more productivity tips, but since I haven’t felt super productive the past three days…my heart wasn’t really in it if that makes sense. I mean I have been working on some fun projects and some of the bloggy back-end stuff, but other than that I feel kind of meh about the post.
But then. I saw all of these delicious strawberry recipes linked to last week’s Inspire Me Monday post and I got, well, inspired.
I’m super excited for summer.

Really it feels like it’s been winter for about 5 months in Minnesota and lately it’s been raining like it’s April (both in Minnesota AND in Nebraska) and I just want some decent, warm, summery weather.
These strawberry recipes seemed to call out to me, saying…summer will be here soon enough! Then I will have to start worrying about things like sunscreen and making sure I run outside before 10am.

This is an interesting idea…bloggers peer reviewing each other. I kind of wonder how you would get everyone to complete a review. Maybe send out an e-mail? I was also reminded of the site peek which has random people reviewing websites. It’s pretty cool because you get a video of the screen when the user is testing it. Needless to say, I submitted my blog for (another) review!
Have a great Monday, friends! See you in a couple of days with a tasty recipe!
Tell me…Do you do hot yoga? Have you ever submitted your blog to peek?

PS I’m all about Pinterest this year, so I would LOVE IT if you could pin one (or two!) of these images!
