Happy Monday, friends! It’s time for another Inspire Me Monday Link-Up where you come to be inspired and if you’re a blogger, you can leave a couple of inspiring links yourself. I’m super excited about how much this link-up is growing, so thanks for checking it out!
Also note: I’m posting this a little early so I can get the giveaway started! The link-up is live every Monday at 8am CST. 🙂
Happy Memorial Day
A sincere thank you to all of the brave men and women for serving our country. I promise I’m going to try to clear my brain for a good few minutes today to really think about how grateful I am that I’m not the one that has to serve. Seriously. I’m not cut out for that ish.
Life
Whew it’s been a crazy few days! Recovering from Blend Retreat, apartment hunting, an interview, laundry, birthday shindig, a wedding…
And today’s Memorial Day finds Dave and I traveling back to Minnesota for some harried packing and a couple of last shifts at the Minnesota café for me. This all might seem like life as usual to you, but my life isn’t usually this exciting, so I’m feeling a tad nutty right now. 😉
On the plus side…
~I have a job in Omaha! It’s basically a transfer to the same gym, but there was still a whole interview and making sure me and the boss would get along.
~We have an apartment! Well, it’s going to be available a little later than we thought…but that means we will save a month of rent…? (let’s not talk about how this really means we are going to have to move TWICE)
Farewell to Minnesota
So we still have about a month left before we officially move back, but I kind of view the couple of events I have left in Minnesota as a farewell to Minnesota. Super cheesy, yes?
I’m honestly still baffled that it’s been two years since we moved up north! (here’s the post where I revealed we were moving!)
I keep feeling like we should have done more. Explored more. Made more friends. Gone skiing. (<-I swear this was on the agenda but the first year it was insanely cold and last winter there wasn’t much snow.)
I think this small bit of regret for not doing-all-the-things has inspired me to do more in Omaha once we get back. Have you heard of Her Heartland Soul blog? She is a recent Omaha transplant and she is always doing something exciting in the city. She has inspired me to explore my home-city because clearly there are actually cool things to do there.
It’s okay though because I will get to do a liiittle more exploring in Minnesota soon!
Q. Cumbers Anniversary Events in Minnesota
Q. Cumbers is an award-winning healthy restaurant in Edina, Minnesota that is actually buffet style. I haven’t been there yet, but from the reviews I’ve seen online…I’m in for a treat! A super healthy treat, that is!
I’m super excited for the upcoming Outdoor Yoga and Brunch event on Sunday, June 7th at Centennial Lakes Park hosted by Q. Cumbers and Corepower Yoga to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. (register for yoga with me here!)
I keep saying I need to get back into yoga and I’ve been presented with a couple of awesome opportunities to do so lately. Including at Blend Retreat last weekend in Boulder, Colorado!
There’s also an outdoor concert I get to attend featuring Kat Perkins, one of the semifinalists on The Voice, on June 12th (buy tickets here). It also includes a picnic dinner and all proceeds are going towards PACERS National Bullying Prevention Center. Win/win/win!
If you attend one of these events, be sure to use the official hashtag: #QCumbers25. (this is for me, too so I don’t forget it!! )
Check out all the Q. Cumber events here!!
