It’s Monday, so it’s time for another Inspire Me Monday link-up! You can check out all of the inspiration linked below and link up your own if you’re a blogger!
Whew I cannot believe the weekend is over already! As I’m typing this, I’m still in Colorado, but as you’re reading this on Monday, me and the Dave Cakes will be driving back to Omaha, Nebraska, busting our butts to make it in time for a fun Omaha Bloggers get together! It involves eating grilled cheese and soup, so I’m pretty excited.
Inspiration Found at Blend Retreat 2015
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you might know I’ve been hanging out in Colorado with some fellow blogger friends. AKA “blends.”
The lovely ladies Lindsay from Lindsay’s List, Janetha from Meals and Moves, and Lauren from Me and the Mountains arranged the fourth annual Blend Retreat in Boulder, Colorado.
Have you guys ever been to Boulder?? It’s gorgeous.
And the people are all super nice and chill. Plus there is a ton of good food, drinks and hiking.
I want to move there. Like, yesterday.
Not only did I have fun hiking up big mountains and eating meals so tasty I wanted to lick my plate, I was able to chat with some amazing ladies.
Some of them are old friends. [left to right: me + Katie, Maddie + Me, Julie + Me]
Some of them new! [Kindal, Kanoi, Me, Ericka, Giselle, Meigan]
Either way I am coming away from the experience refreshed, inspired and ready to take on the world.
[edit to add this lovely group photo snagged from Broccoli]
Thank you to all the ladies who attended, but especially to those who took the effort to make me and everyone else feel welcome. Believe you me, your kindness did not go unnoticed. Not all of us are extroverts (and some of us are HUGE dorks), but something that I’ve experienced the last 4 years of Blend Retreat: everyone is welcome. All fitness levels, all blogger levels and all coolness(?) levels. (Head over here to see the full list of bloggers [and readers!] who attended Blend 2015.)
I’m so very happy I decided to attend!

I had never heard of the Blend Retreat until meeting you, but couldn’t attend this year. Hopefully it’s somewhere easy to get to next year! I’d love to meet more blogger friends. 🙂

Yeah I feel like the retreats or conferences are never close by living in the midwest. They seem to be on one of the coasts, but Colorado wasn’t too bad to travel to from Omaha! 🙂
Emily @ Perfection Isn't Happy
I’m glad that you had a great time! I’m sad that I couldn’t go this year (well, not that sad, being pregnant is pretty exciting too :)), but maybe next year!
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut
I’m sad you weren’t there either! Lots of ladies stayed home because they were preggers though haha. Hopefully next year! 🙂

I was so bummed I couldn’t go this year, especially since it was in Boulder! I’ve only been there for a day, but instantly fell in love! It reminded me a bit of Madison actually!
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut
Oh really? I haven’t been to Madison (just driven through) so this makes me want to visit!
Amy @ Amy M4gic

I went to write my first FULL Blend recap and it happened to end up being about the inspirational people I met at Blend. I think I’ll have to showcase one person EVERY Monday for the next 12 months now… haha.
See you soon! 🙂
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut
It’s so hard to write the recaps! Especially when I took a million pictures and we did so much in three days!! So good to see you, lady! 🙂
Erin @ Her Heartland Soul
Ahh I’m so jealous you were at Blend! It looked like it was an amazing time! I’m hoping to get to go one year!
