Ingredients:
2 cups roasted, salted cashews
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
oil/fat of choice*
How To:
Throw all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth, adding oil for desired consistency. Depending on your processor, this will take 10-15 minutes.
I would also like to point out that I got the idea to add “snickerdoodle” into the name from Kim’s post with almond butter. That flavor describes the nutbutter perfectly. The cinnamon and vanilla remind me of the taste of Dave’s favorite cookie (or so he told me 6 years ago when we were first dating so I made a billion batches for him early on…recently he’s told me it’s chocolate chip) but the texture is also a little fluffy like a snickerdoodle.

Pretty please whip this yummy cashew butter up for yourself and let me know what you think! I get absolutely giddy when people tell me they have made and enjoyed my recipes! Especially when it’s friends or family I didn’t even know read my blog!

Speaking of family and friends…we made it back to Nebraska this past weekend for a wedding!
We attended a high school friend’s wedding (hi Brenda!) where I got to sport my new Target find—that dress was like $8 on the clearance rack!
Woot! It was a little tighter around the booty area than I’m used to..but I liked the overall 50s-ish look. It’s in style, right? (seriously..someone tell me. I’m kind of awful at keeping up with trends.)
More on the weekend later..someone has stayed up wayyyy past her bedtime battling with the internets. (<-it’s me. I’m up way to late.)
Hope you’re having a great week and be sure to check back for some eats from my Nebraska trip as well as a yummy seasonal drink! 🙂
Tell me….
What is your all time favorite nut butter?
What is one food you wish your significant other loved as much as you do?
PS I’m all about Pinterest this year, so I would LOVE IT if you could pin one (or two!) of these images!
Pin with me!

Ooooh this could be dangerous! I am already struggling to keep my spoon out of the almond butter jar, but make it cashew AND snicker doodle….I could be in trouble! Sounds yummy! You look greta, nice find at Target 🙂
So very dangerous! And thanks, girl! 🙂
Cashews are candy to me! I eat them everyday. Seriously the best nut 😉
They really are! They kind of melt in your mouth!
I’m not a college football fan, so when I see huskers stuff, I think of the people I know who are fans (you and my friend kate). This cashew butter sounds delicious!
Yeah we pretty much only have college football so…whatyagonnado. 🙂 Plus watching it makes me feel like I’m back at home. 🙂
This could be dangerous! Thanks for the recipe. 🙂
So dangerous! Let me know how it goes! 🙂
LOL – I wish Kyle loved nachos as much as I did 😉 AND this cashew butter looks to die for! Obvs my favorite is peanut butter, I’m obsessed 😉
Whaaat who doesn’t love nachos??
Yum! I just finished eating a sweet potato with almond butter for dinner and I’m day dreaming about eating your cashew butter for dessert – ha! Sounds amazing!
Ohh this would be perfect on a sweet potato with the cinnamon!!
As if plain cashew butter isn’t delicious enough, you had to go and make it ridiculously delicious! Can’t wait to try this 🙂
haha I’m sorry? Not really though because the deliciosity I added is dreamy and not even bad for you! 🙂
Ok first off…. give me that rubber bowl scraper!! Oh it looks delicious covered in nut buttery goodness. I’m an addict to peanut but have new found love for sunflower butter. I don’t discriminate regardless. 🙂
I wish my boyfriend drank coffee… he just doesn’t GET IT!
You cannot have my cute rubber bowl scraper! Buttt you can buy your own at Target. 😉 It came in a pack of two and the other one is yellow and equally adorable. Perfect for getting every last morsel of cashew butter from a jar! 😉
I thought the BF was into coffee for like a week…then he stopped lol!
This looks so great… snickerdoodles are my fave cookie, after chocolate chip of course.
Omg chocolate chip nut butter… *runs to the kitchen and starts making a mess of chocolate and nuts*
Oh my gosh you just won me over!!! This sounds incredible!
Happy to win you over! 🙂 You have to try it and let me know what you think!
Omg yum. Is eat this in a day for sure. I always burn my nuts too. I’m terrible at walking away as soon as they are done. Can’t wait to try these!
Okay I’m glad I’m not the only one burning my nuts! (<-I may be immature but that's funny) You have to let me know how it turns out! 🙂
omg that looks so good!
SO good! Come visit and we will make nut butter all day!
That does look like an amazing special treat kind of recipe-dangerous to have around. Thanks for linking up with us today and I hope you will visit the hostess sites and recipes too. Which plug in do you use for the nutritional facts for your recipes? I like the way it looks 🙂
Here’s the plugin I use: http://www.semihealthyblog.com/2014/04/blogging-101-recipe-plugin-recipe-organization.html
I love how customizable it is and the nutritional info is awesome when it works…originally my pumpkin shake said 900 calories for one glass lol and then I changed some words and it went back down to 230 calories.
I still can’t believe I’ve never tried cashew butter! I’ve gotta get on it. Thanks for sharing this recipe:)
Yes please get on that! And let me know how it goes! 🙂
loving this idea! I wanna try this!
You should! Do it!! 🙂
What a great idea for a cashew butter! I bet it tastes amazing.
Thank you! 🙂 I’m off to check out that taco salad you linked..yum!
This is such a great idea!! I love adding spices/flavours to nut butters… they taste so gourmet!
Thanks lady! Yes it definitely makes the nutbutter feel very fancy! 🙂
Yum! This looks amazing. I love nut butter, and cashew butter is my favorite! P.S. That dress is super-cute 🙂
Thanks, Heather! You’ll have to try the recipe out!!
And yes…I LOVE my $8 Target find!
