How’s the weather in your neck of the woods? It is -4 degrees F here. That’s right. Negative four degrees. It’s cold. And snowy. And my commute now takes at least an hour. Welcome to Minnesota winter, Amanda.
On a more positive note, this weather is perfect for curling up with a cup of something hot and delicious, so I thought I’d share with you a teaser of my article over at Lifehack. That’s okay to do, right? Sometimes when I write articles for other sites I wish I had the idea for my own blog!

11 Cozy Drinks to Warm You This Winter
Daylight savings time has arrived and settled in, if you are in a part of the world where this applies. The sun is peeking out for a shorter and shorter amount of time during the day. Jack Frost is lurking behind every corner, and there might even be snow on the ground where you live. What does all of this mean? It means that it’s time to turn up the heat—both in your home and in your kitchen—by cooking up some of these cozy drinks that are sure to warm you this winter. Check out these hot drink recipes you can make in the comfort of your own home.
1. Boozy Skinny Hot Chocolate
Have you ever tasted amaretto? It’s one of those alcohols that’s dangerous in the sense that it is so delicious and smooth that you will not be able to stop drinking it. Combining it with cocoa is just plain genius.
2. Mexican Hot Chocolate with Dulce de Leche Cream
When I think of fall or winter drinks, I often think of spices. Pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon are common fall favorites. This decadent recipe is made dulce de leche by adding vanilla bean ice cream. Yum!
3. Mocha Cocoa Mix
Be prepared for the cold winter months by making your very own mocha mix! A mocha is simply chocolate and espresso rolled into one delicious concoction. You can make a batch of this right now and store it for up to six months.

Also, does anyone recognize that first drink? It’s from Lee’s blog! You know, my current blogger crush whom I referenced twice in this post. I love the opportunity to highlight my favorite bloggers on other sites!
PS Check out yesterday’s post about the power of apples inspired by an article I’m working on for Creation Based Health!
