I cannot tell you how amazing the blogging community is. A little over a year ago, I didn’t even know some of my current best friends. One of these best friends includes Calee, whom I met at Blend Retreat last year (although we really only started talking after).
Calee is helping me discuss more Blogging 101 topics today!
I get so many great blogging ideas from Calee whether it’s from her sending me and e-mail like “uh Amanda change this asap” or just visiting her blog and getting inspired. Enjoy and learn from this lovely gal!

Howdy, semi-health-nutlings! I’m Calee (Cal-E, not Cay-lee) from life +
running and a good friend of Amanda’s.
How long have you been blogging?
Did you have any blogs previous to your current one?
How has the blogging community impacted you personally?
How do you get a discussion going on your blog?
On social media?
Do you respond to each comment?
Is there a limit on the number of sponsored/giveaway posts you
will do each week/month?
Do you use an ad agency? Which one and why?
Do you have any advice to give to a new blogger? What is one
thing you wish you had learned early on?
- Be yourself. Write about things that interest you
and that you enjoy writing about. - Don’t worry about gaining readers. Readers may
come and go, but this is your outlet and it isn’t going to be as fun
if you cater to what you think your readers want (or what they ask
for). - Set boundaries (for yourself and readers). What
does an acceptable comment look like? How do you handle negative
feedback? How many hours do you want to spend per week (or day) on
things related to your blog? Do your social media channels need to be
related to the blog? Are you using the blog for business? These are
questions you need to ask yourself. - Stay true to yourself and stick to those boundaries you
set.Yes I’m saying this twice because it’s easy to get caught
up with gaining popularity. It seems cool to have a ton of readers,
but really, it’s just more work for you. - Remember: it’s just a hobby, not a job.

I do hope she comes and visits me in the twin cities more often now that her BF is here! 🙂
In response to that last bullet–sometimes I spend enough time on my blogging I wish it was my job haha! Can anyone relate??
Are you a blogger? Answer one (or as many as you want) of the questions from above!

Jeez … did I center this whole post when I sent you the HTML? *facepalm*
I wish blogging was my job sometimes too!

Omg sorry I forgot to tell you that it looked weird because it was all over to the left (with a bunch of space on the right). Our blogs might be different widths or something?
