I failed to mention this in my half-marathon race recap post yesterday, but I made it to the great state of Minnesota! I road-tripped it all the way up from Nebraska!
I got to stop and hang out with my blend Calee in Ames on the way up where she treated me to some coffee-pressed coffee that I drank on the remaining three hour trip up to the twin cities. I’m so glad I got to break up the 6 hour road-trip AND that I got some caffeine since my poor timing landed me at Dave’s hotel around midnight. I need to remember that I take more bathroom breaks than the average person. (Poor Dave…he has to get up at 5am and I woke him up.)
Dave and I also got to hang out with Lee and her boy last night at the Lyndale Taphouse in uptown (like I really know what “uptown means” haha). I really REALLY hope Dave gets the job here because if you can believe it, Lee is even sweeter in person than on her blog and it would be awesome if we could hang out more often!
Currently I am holed up in the hotel battling some allergy symptoms (that I will later try to fix with exercise…does that work? Endorphins or something?), and I thought I’d share some of my favorites from the past few weeks!

I am staying in this weekend but I love the twin cities!! My sister lives up there and it is my #1 fave place to visit. Obviously Mall of America is pretty cool but I’ve actually only been there once as there is so much other stuff we have done. There is a casino that does blacklight bingo – that was pretty fun and another time we spent the day at the zoo. Aaah have fun!

Hmm I haven’t been to the zoo in awhile!

Thank you again for the shout out. I find it funny that my blog really isn’t about anything, but that’s why you like it 🙂
Also, thanks for linking to some interesting intuitive eating posts. I’d love to get your prospective as a nutrition student on it. Have you done a post your thoughts on intuitive eating?

I need to do a post on it for sure…but I think I should read the book again. Sometimes I stray away from doing posts when everyone else is talking about the same thing because I don’t want to be a copy-cat, but I just need to get over that and just write about what I want to!
PS Grab a pretty button! 🙂

Aww, thanks for the shout out girlie!! I’ll have to check out some of those posts for sure! The microwave one reminded me of Kammie’s double chocolate mugcake…have you seen it? It looks ahhhhhmazing! http://www.sensualappealblog.com/double-chocolate-microwave-mug-cake/ And she made the funniest little video to go with it!
Oh and for the record, I balled my eyes out over that Dove ad…so moving!
Hope you get to feeling better! Allergies are no fun! I never really know what the best way is to get over them either…I mean, it’s not like you can really sweat it out, but maybe the endorphin release will help you forget you can’t breathe? 😉

No problem friend!
haha I actually think it had to do with being in the hotel room for two days with the dry dusty air or something. I felt much better over the weekend getting out. But yeah when medicine doesn’t work…it’s kind of like you just have to be miserable awhile.
