Man this morning is weird. I randomly woke up at 5am, even though I went to bed late. I think I heard someone get up in the apartment above me so I thought it was 6am (since this happened yesterday around that time). Not that the people above us are loud..it’s just weird hearing people walking around above you, you know? I lived in the basement of our house way back when, but that was, um, seven years ago. Not quite used to it. I even have a sound machine, but apparently that doesn’t work sometimes.
When I realized I still had an hour to sleep I tried to roll over and snooze, but then the clock.
I had decided it would be okay to put my clock up in my room. It looks pretty over my desk, so why not? Because of the ticking and the tocking, that’s why. It was downstairs at my dad’s so I never noticed it. I got up to take it down and put it in my bathroom and realized my printer light was on and would probably bug me. Had to shut that off. This was also an item that was in the basement at my dad’s. So spoiled.
Then I realized I feel like absolute poo. Sore throat and nose…stuff that I thought I had gotten rid of over the weekend. Didn’t I feel like a million bucks on Monday?
I have been wondering if it’s my allergies acting up because of the old building or dust or something, so there’s that. Then it’s so friggin dry and there is an airvent right above my bed where my face is. Yep, old school. All the vents are on the ceiling. Could this have something to do with my sore throat, bloody nose crap? I did feel better after having been away a day or so…
I resolved to get up and look at humidifiers online. Which of course I haven’t done yet since I had to check Facebook. And then decided I should work on my WIAW {What I Ate Wednesday} post since it is, in fact Wednesday. Apparently I also decided to complain a little too.
One more thing, how weird is it that when you slave over a post and you think it is super sweet, like yesterday’s post you get, like A comment (okay, it was a nice comment and I DO appreciate it, but I just expected..more?) and a random fun one like Dear Future Roomie gets a dozen comments? You just never know, right? Le sigh.
Well that’s the end of my rant there! I’m going to take a brief pause, get some food in me and be back to write my WIAW post. Probably in a different post since WIAW is a happy place.
Thanks for listening and I will be back later with some positive energy to balance this out! Oh and a recipe! 🙂
Do you have people living above you? Can you hear them?
What’s the best humidifier? Err maybe what’s the cheapest?

I do have people living over me and I almost never hear them unless their kid is screaming (which isn’t often) sometimes I hear bumps and sometimes their kids are jumping around over my dining room and it rattles the chandelier but honestly… I don’t hear much! It’s great! It’s the most insulated building I’ve ever lived in – I love it. I hated hearing neighbors loud annoying TVs in my first two apartments. And I know what you mean about the clock… it makes me crazy too and I ended up keeping the fan on ALL the time even in winter but last time I moved I put it in a different room 🙂

haha I’m glad I’m not the only one that the ticking bothers!

Haha I seriously get what you mean about the comments. My favorite posts have like zero comments, while every week my WIAW gets a billion. Get a humidifier. You won’t regret it. 🙂

So weird! And I found one I like on Target.com so I think I’m gonna get it!

HA! I totally get the comments thing. I’ve had some very soul-wrenching, touching, or moving posts (or at least so I thought) and the ones that get the most attention are the ones I see more as “fillers’ or “fun” posts. Interesting… 😉
P.S. Your system is probably trying to get used to the new environment and stuff, I’m sure in a couple of weeks it will pass.

I second ALL of your emotions on this. I had the “woke up with a crazy sore throat and stuffy nose and I don’t understand what just happened” situation, and I think it was because I was leaving my fan on for the sound while I sleep, but also NOT thinking about it totally drying out my body/head.
Also, that whole “Why did I spend so much time on that post?” thing. {Sigh} So oddly frustrating. (Although I apologize for contributing with my late commentary.)
