{WIAW #41} Random Eats

Hello Friends!
This WIAW (What I Ate Wednesday) is going to be short and sweet!  I am going for a 6am run tomorrow. 

And if you know me, you know I’m not a morning worker-outer so this will be an experience.  Apparently it’s so dark out at that time that one of the ladies I’m running with will be sporting a head lamp!!

Here are some of the goodies that have crossed my path (and went into my belly) as of late.

{Breakfast}
2 eggs microwaved (spray microwave safe bowl with pam, whip up eggs, 45 seconds on high, add a slice of cheese and microwave another 30 seconds. viola.), toasted banana nut vitatop (packed with vitamins!), new favorite latte: 1/2 pumpkin spice syrup, 1/2 sugar free vanilla, soy latte

{Lunch/Dinner}
I found frozen peppers and used some on a pizza to add some veggies and even put some in my “Panburger Partner.”  Oh yes, Hamurger Helper’s cheap cousin.
Simple, fresh, romaine lettuce with cottage cheese.
{Snacks}
I bring bars with me to class for a semi-healthy snack on-the-go.
Banana slices with peanutbutter and chocolate chips.
Cottage cheese with wingsauce and carrot chips.
This was my breakfast for WEEKS!  Peanutbutter cheerios, nuts and chocolate chips eaten on the way to school.
{Dessert}
Remember to portion treats out!  Check the label to see what an average portion is AND what you would like YOUR portion to be.

How cold is it where you live?  It’s been below freezing here in Nebraska at night!

    MMM girl scout cookie thin mints. My favorite. Please tell me you freeze yours? If not, you must do it bc they taste 10x better!

    My mom and brother love thin mint cookies! I however think that chocolate and mint never belong together, especially in York patties and ice cream. Yuk. ๐Ÿ˜€

    It’s about 50 right now where I live, but I can tell that it is going to get cold really soon. And FAST.

      haha it’s funny how people have such a strong opinion on the chocolate/mint subject! M boyfriend and my friend’s hubby dislike it also but me and my friend love chocolate-mint!!

    hot sauce + cottage cheese? brilliant!

    also, I cannot handle the thought of nuking eggs. eggs kind of gross me out to begin with. don’t knock it till you’ve tried it I guess … ๐Ÿ™‚

      hehe I started nuking them because the bowl is the perfect size to fit on a bagel sandwich…and later on sandwich thins. ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s a texture between hard-boiled and scrambled and I LOVE it!

    I love vitatops! I’m not sure why I was so hesitant of them at first but they’re delicious. I may have to ask my daddy to pick some up! ๐Ÿ˜‰

      I was the same way! I just figured they were another processed food…which they are…but they do have lots of vitamins. And they taste pretty good!

    That’s a great idea, using the frozen vegetables like that! I’ve never thought of getting the stir-fry mix, but then I get lazy and don’t want to cut everything up on my own. Nice!
