Get Fit with Music

Hello Friends!

My friend Emily suggested I do a post on different upbeat songs that could get her and her little ones moving.

I have been wanting to share my workout playlists for awhile..but sometimes I have so many ideas running around in my head that I totally forget.  I even write my ideas down…but who knows where those dang pieces of paper go?

I would say 95 percent of my workout playlists are by contemporary Christian artists.  I love going for a run and at the same time, focusing on the One who gave me my strong legs and the air in my lungs.

Here is a list of 10 songs taken from my half-marathon playlist…although I will be completing this race later than anticipated:

  1. Million Voices by Barlow Girls
  2. No One Like You by Barlow Girls
  3. Hero by Skillet
  4. Comatose by Skillet
  5. Awake and Alive by Skillet
  6. Sing, Sing, Sing by Chris Tomlin
  7. Friend Like That by Hawk Nelson
  8. Move by Mercy Me
  9. Get Back Up by tobyMac
  10. Arise by Flyleaf-This one got me through a very long run and a very high hill.

Bonus inspirational song:  Let me Feel You Shine by David Crowder (Acoustic!)

These songs are good to:

  • Crank up in the house while cleaning.
  • Dancing.  Alone or otherwise. 😉
  • Running outside (make sure you take one earbud out or have the volume low so you can hear cars)
  • Cardio or weights at the gym.
  • As an alarm clock…if you have that kind of technology.  Or you could turn your alarm clock radio onto KLove. 😉

P.S. Is it bad that I want to go wake up the kiddos I’m babysitting?  They’ve been napping for almost 3 hours….
