You like pizza right?
But someone, somewhere may have told you it is a forbidden food.
First of all, don’t have forbidden foods. As in don’t restrict yourself from eating any certain food. That can only lead to trouble in the form of secretly consuming large amounts of said forbidden food and then feeling awful afterwards. Who wants that?
Secondly, I want to tell you about a new yummy pizza I’ve found.
It is a frozen pizza. Yep, frozen. Does that sound even more forbidden?
Well even if you are still clinging to the fact that you cannot and will not eat pizza..you may re-consider once you find out that it is a Kashi Seven Grain Roasted Vegetable Stone-Fired Thin Crust frozen pizza.
There wasn’t any meat on it, so I decided some ground turkey would be perfect on top. Also, there were less veggies on top than I’d thought there would be, based on the picture on the box…can we fix that Kashi?
This Jennie-O brand the BF bought browned very nicely compared to our usual brand…our other brand gets all clumpy if that makes sense.
I added about half a pound of hamburger to the pizza along with a handful of mozarella cheese to the top. Perfection.
The pizza was tasty and light. I am very glad we decided to add the ground turkey, however, as the pizza would not have been very filling. The serving size was one-third of the pizza at 250 calories, but I would say a good serving without the ground turkey would have been half of the pizza. It’s a thin crust, what did I expect?
Overall I’m impressed with the quality of taste and the nutrition factor.
Dessert was a new recipe (that I will be sharing tomorrow) for a whole wheat M&M cookie bar, Valentine’s Day style.
Speaking of which, have you added your link to my Valentine’s Day treat link-up? Please do!
I’d better get back to studying..I have another nutrition test on Friday. This test is over carbohydrates and lipids (fats). It’s so fascinating that I need to remember that it is for a class and I have to remember all of the specific details..not just how I can relate it to my life and possible posts to share. 😉
Have a great night friends!
Do you have any “forbidden” foods? Why is that? (No judgement here! Just curious.)
What’s your favorite frozen pizza?
