I hope everyone has had a great week! It’s Friday, get excited!
My week just got better due to the fact that I unsubscribed to about 10 different random e-mail subscriptions I was getting (credit card promotions, school updates I don’t even attend, bank offers, organizations that somehow got my e-mail). I have a feeling my inbox will thank me this next week.
It will also give me more time to respond to you!
I love getting your comments and questions. Every little comment makes me happy that I blog.. besides, who doesn’t love a nice pat-on-the-back every once in awhile?
I would like to share with you my Friday Five Foodie Finds as per usual. I always seem to pick out the sweet recipes. I simply can’t help it. You can see the usual ration is about 3:2. 3 Desserts for every 2 Entree/Snack/Appetizer. Can we say sweet tooth??
I have often thought of starting another blog solely based on desserts because they seem to be the only thing I want to post about anyhow. We will see.
Please enjoy the lovely photography and recipes from my fellow bloggers that made my “must-try” or at least “must drool-over” list this week:
Friday Five Foodie Finds 1-3-2012
I found this gal because we were both mentioned in a Facebook “tag-you’re-it” kind of post by Table for Seven. Erin said in the post that we are “great foodie sites” and I am honored to have been tagged!
I enjoy a good poppyseed muffin, but I’ve never baked with poppyseed and these look so moist and delightful I just had to put them on my weekly finds! I did not notice that they had sour cream in them and sour cream tends to bother my funny tummy so I’m wondering if I can substitute something? Suggestions?
(Also her blog name is spelled correctly in this title. Just so you know.)
Edible chocolate-covered cookie dough balls. Need I say more?
Okay I will say a little more…
I’ve been looking for recipes for edible cookie dough (okay I eat all cookie dough, but that I could safely serve to others) and I came across this lovely photo on pinterest and immediately pinned it to my Sweet Tooth board. I went to the website and sure enough I now have another blog to follow.
I keep telling myself that I need to try cooking with quinoa. The BF’s sister made some once and I LOVED it. I think part of the reason is I don’t see it when I go grocery shopping, and part of the reason is laziness, I will admit it folks.
This recipe definitely looks semi-healthy and delicious so it’s got my approval! And it is probably a good recipe for Superbowl Sunday. Not that I will be watching, just for the rest of America who will be. 😉
I found this recipe via a Facebook post that by The Novice Chef Blog wrote, raving about the recipe. These little cups can be filled with all sorts of ingredients and the fish mixture looks so yummy and fresh. (Also probably another crowd-pleasing Superbowl appetizer.) After perusing the Inspired Taste blog a bit, I now have ANOTHER blog to follow.
Seriously people, stop being so dang amazing so I can do something with my life other than read your blogs.
These look awesome. Pancake batter and crunch walnuts on the outside and ooey gooey banana on the inside and then baked to perfection. What a genius idea.
If you were featured here today, please grab a button to let people know that your eats are good enough to make my top five! 😉
Have an amazingly blessed weekend everyone! (And get ready for my Valentine’s Day link-up!)
We are supposed to get a good amount of snow (for the first time ALL WINTER) so we will see if the weekend turns into a white weekend.
Is it snowing in your area? Are you pro-snow or no-snow?
Tell me the truth, do you really care about the Superbowl and/or are you hosting a Superbowl party?
I will be pinning these to my pinterest so check out my boards!
Linking up to Finding Joy in My Kitchen. Check out other Friday Finds there!
