Good evening everyone,
Back to school and managing my time is still STILL a challenge. (Even with my new organizational tool) It’s getting better but really all I wanna do is sleep in, go for a run, read blogs (and twitter and facebook) and watch my Gilmore Girls! Go to class? Do homework? Pshh…
So before I get to my homework (haha you know what comes first), I decided I’d share a recipe I’ve been saying I would ALL WEEK. Cause it’s from Sunday. But that’s okay right? I shouldn’t be feeling guilty about posting it so late when I’ve been talking about it since Sunday? Okay, thanks.
Inside-Out Pizza {Print Recipe}
This is a recipe that is simple, quick and easily modifiable, but here is how I personally chose to fill up my inside-out pizza. 🙂
This is actually a pic I took of eating as a leftover. |
- Pilsbury crescent rolls
- Marinara or pizza sauce
- Ground turkey
- Pepperoni
- Peppers (We used 1 orange, a couple of SUUUPER SPICY bananer peppers, and half of a green pepper)
- Mozzarella cheese
How To:
- Brown ground turkey. Keep on burner on warm while you complete the rest of the steps.
- Follow directions to preheat oven on pilsbury package.
- Chop peppers (dice if you are the BF..I just let him do this now because he likes his veggie chunks small)
- Arrange two crescent rolls in pairs of two. I would moosh the dough together and re-roll these because some sauce came out of the seams, but it still worked.
- You can either mix all the ingredients you want together and place in the middle of each pair OR separately place like you would a pizza. (Ex: sauce, meat, veggies and cheese on top)
- Fold corners over the pizza ingredients so that nothing (or very little) is showing. Now you’re pizza is inside-out and ready to bake.
- Follow the baking instructions on the package. The meat is already cooked so you just have to bake the dough!
- Enjoy!
- (For leftovers: put in the toaster oven for 10 minutes on 400 F.)

He knows he loves it when I take pictures of him eating 😉 |
BONUS:
You know I like leftovers right? Poor college student, gotta use all the ingredients! I combined my leftover pizza ingredients on the stove top and warmed everything up. I put the contents in a container and into the fridge and ate it ontop of whole wheat pasta the next day. Heck yes!
I heart pizza. Here’s a couple more pizza ideas:
Grilled Pizza <--This recipe was actually so popular it was stolen from me from a local paper. *Trying not to be bitter!!*
