Hello everyone,
I get into kicks where I eat the same breakfast every day for about two weeks and then have to change it up!
So here’s my new favorite breakfast.
I like quick, simple morning meals because I like to eat within an hour of waking up. I walked by the frozen food section in the health market at my grocery store and I couldn’t pass up these yummy looking Kashi waffles!
I am a huge fan of anything Kashi so I grabbed them with a huge smile on my face that probably scared the other shoppers…but what can I say I love my breakfast foods. 🙂
I toast the waffle (a little more than I do with my bread) and spread my creamy peanutbutter and top with my favorite Bear Naked granola. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Quick nutrition was never so delish!
Please note: toasting should be supervised… 😉 |
What I love about this headband is that it keep all of my flyaways out of my face! I love my layered hair, but when I’m running it drives me bonkers!
All ready for my 4-miler! |
Running update:
I keep track of the miles I run/walk on www.dailymile.com (Follow A Semi-Health Nut). I posted goals for the week:
Monday goal day:
M: 4 miles (check!), T: Crosstrain 40 min, W: 3.5 miles (check) + Strength, Th: Rest/Easy Run, F: 5 miles (so close! 4.5 miles), Sa: Stretch + Strength
I did good on the running, but I need to work on getting the crosstraining and strength training in!
I am running my first 5K ever one week from now! It’s going to be a midnight run…so that will be interesting. I am also dragging the BF along so we will see how that works out. I reminded him of the run last night and he had a look of shock on his face that the 3ish mile run was next week…is it bad if I’m excited I might beat him on this run?
I’m also running a corporate cup September 18th which will be a 10K! Trying so hard on my runs to remember that I will have to run 6 miles in a row in about 2 weeks..I tend to stop a lot to walk, although I am getting better. Today I ran for 2 miles before stopping to walk for a bit.
Oh! My run today! Battle scar! Don’t ask why I am excited about it, but I got a running blister today. The shoes that I ran in were semi-new so that is probably why but I felt hard-core. (Lemonade outa lemons) 🙂
Well I am off to make a couple loaves of bread. I am saying this nonchalantly like I do this all the time when really I am nervous to try out this recipe because it will be consumed by my Daddio’s biblestudy group “Seasoned Saints” tomorrow and I know there are a lot of talented bakers there (I would make fun of him for going to the old people biblestudy but the Pastor Todd already made fun of the name). Praying it will turn out great! 🙂
What’s your favorite go-to breakfast item?
How’s your running going?
Any good bread recipes? Like bread and butter kind of recipes?
I love hearing from my readers! 🙂
