Get ready for a bombardment of “Best Of” posts in blogland. And on this blog because I really take pride in this last year’s work.
For today, I’ve rounded up 20 of the best semi-healthy recipe posts from 2014. Get excited and ready to drool!
First of all, my Recipe page is the one that won out over all of the other pages and posts, so let’s give that a little round of applause. That’s the one that’s powered by Recipage, a tool I really wish was actually kept up because there is great potential.
I’ve also added another recipe index page that’s mobile friendly and updates automatically based on the categories I put on a new post thanks to my awesome Foodie Theme. (<-affiliate link)
Aaand looking at my Recipage I’m realizing I actually need to update it for the last two month’s recipes. Be right back.
Okay anyways, I’ve had a pretty stellar year when it comes to recipes if I do say so myself. I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with set ups in my studio (aka my living room) as well as props and then editing the photos. I even tried a little artificial lighting since the Minnesota winter stinks when it comes to natural light.
One goal I have for 2015 is to get familiar with Photoshop though. I mean I really love PicMonkey and Canva (and the prices are FAR cheaper than Photoshop), but I know if I want to be serious with this whole foodie blogging thing, I should probably try my hand at the software that the pros use. I may even be able to get the software at a discount if I start up school again but more on that later!
Sheesh I am now realizing I have so much to tell you guys, but let’s stick with the theme of the post: the best semi-healthy recipes from 2014.
Here are the top viewed Semi-Healthy recipes in 2014:
3. Nutty M+M Power Bites Recipe
4. Strawberry Jello M+M Cookies
5. Flaxseed Hungry Jack Waffles
6. Warm Spiced Crockpot Homemade Applesauce
7. Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cake in a Mug
10. Almond Delight Cookies Recipe
Originally I was going to just list the top recipes according to pageviews (see above), but I realized that there are a couple of errors in that:
– I may have had more time to promote certain recipes making those the most popular ones
– A couple of them were shared on larger blogs so the pageviews are much higher
– Some of my most popular recipes this year weren’t even from 2014. According to WordPress stats, this means my posts have staying power, which is awesome because this lines up with one of my goals this coming year!
– Some of the more recent recipes haven’t had the same amount of time to be shared multiple times.
– Plus some of my favorites weren’t included. So there.
Here are my picks for best semi-healthy recipes of 2014:
(count-down style..cuz this is New Year’s related…right?)
10. Pumpkin Spice Latte Protein Shake
8. Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies (with real butter and sugar)

4. Berry Swirl Oat Bread with Whipped Goat Cheese
