So it’s almost that time of year again! The time to bust out your shorts, skirts and flip-flops. (And maybe even bust out my spring-like Stitch Fix dress??)
And oh how I cannot wait to run outside again! My first and only attempt at outdoor running in the past few months was last weekend and resulted in a spill on the ice upon walking out the door. I have some pretty bruises as proof that I was smart to keep to the treadmill this winter.
But spring is right around the corner! Even the frozen tundra of Minnesota is starting to melt!
This is the time of year where you might want to start shaving your legs more regularly. Or at least think about it.
I won’t get into the hairy (<–get it?) details on how often I shaved my legs over the Minnesota winter. Let’s just say I will be shaving a whole lot more now that my legs will be visible to the public. And I don’t just mean up to the knee for the purpose of wearing your cropped yoga pants. (I cannot be the only one…)
Me and Gillette go way back. Back to the day I decided slicing my legs left and right with my mom’s disposable razors wasn’t fun anymore. It was time for a better razor.
Since I already use their product, I was delighted with the opportunity to try out the adorable and handy new Venus Snap razor (that can be found at the store I buy everything at..Target!).
This little razor not only has 5 blades that save you the trouble of going over the same spot multiple times, but it also has a moisturizing strip surrounding the blades. Guess what that strip means? No shaving cream needed!!
It’s also so small and has a cute little case (with holes so water doesn’t get trapped inside) which makes it handy for popping in your gym bag. I mean it fit perfectly with my travel shampoo, conditioner and body wash. If you’re like me, you hate being the bag lady at the gym and try to take as few things with you as possible. I have now eliminated shaving cream and shrunk the size of the razor I take to the gym. #winning
I am also going home this weekend (gah I cannot wait!) and am thankful for one less item to pack. Ask Dave, I am not a light packer so every inch of space saved counts.
If you are a list person (like me), here is my little summary on the new Venus Snap razor:
The New Venus Snap Razor:
- Super cute and in my favorite color–pink! (how Valley girl do I sound? I like totally like heart this thing!)
- Small and portable. Perfect for packing in your gym bag and/or for traveling! Complete with a plastic case that has holes to prevent water from getting trapped inside.
- Easy to handle. I really like the wide grip.
- 5 blades for a silky smooth shave. No touch-ups necessary.
- No need for shaving cream! Say goodbye to shaving cream residue all over your shower! (<-or is that just me?)
- Your legs feel soft and moisturized without even putting lotion on! (you can see I’m all about saving time in the beauty department)
You might as well head over to Target to buy one. I mean I bought another already on my last Target buy-all-the-things trip. 🙂
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are (as usual) 110% my own.
Tell me…
Are you a shorts or a skirt gal? I tend to go more with shorts, but I am getting into dresses and skirts more and more each year!
Do you shave at the gym? I figure if I’m there and it needs to be done anyways, might as well run a razor over the legs and pits! 🙂

haha you are so funny 🙂 That is a very cute razor! I totally don’t shave much over the winter….. And I only shave if I know I will want to wear cropped yoga pants to workout and yes I only shave to my knee 🙂
I am totally a dress person…. and sometimes shorts!
I’m actually lucky enough that I don’t shower at the gym. I always plan enough time so I can workout and go home to shower and get ready.

Thanks! 🙂
Yes I think Minnesota weather makes it okay to only shave up to the knee. At least that’s what I told myself all winter!!
I am weird and can’t stand being schweaty on the drive home which sometimes takes an hour depending on traffic. Gym showering is definitely not my preference ha!

Great review! I love the travel friendly size of the razor and I know my daughter will want one as soon as she sees it. I like shorts and skirts but probably lean more toward skirts.

Thanks Jill! You should definitely get her one! I forgot to put this in the review, but it’s only 10 bucks! 🙂
