1. I think my diet is super high in sodium. My fingers were swollen a couple of days in a row with no other explanation…
2. Despite the above fact, I happily consumed the lunch Dave made us Saturday: chili dogs.
3. I am super excited for the next Hunger Games movie. I even told Dave we should see the movie at the Mall of America in the theatre where the seats move. He shook his head at me but I’m determined to make this happen.
4. I am far too sensitive. I don’t know whether I need to work on this or just accept it. I think being a little sensitive helps me deal with others and be more respectful, but who knows.
5. Every time I resolve to give up blogging forever, a few days later I get in a writing mood and forget I was giving it up.
6. I am down to my last can of diet dew and debating on buying more. I’ve been working towards getting fake sugars out of my diet…but I crave the bubbly lemon-lime nectar. Maybe one a day is okay?
7. The gloomy weather we’ve been having in the twin cities seriously gets me down. So much that I am considering using the free tanning bed at the apartments once a week.
8. I know the previous comment might get me in trouble.
9. Even though I have been hired by two websites to write, I have still been calling myself a freelancer. Saying I’m a writer seems too pretentious. Or maybe I feel like I need to have a book published for the title.
10. I still haven’t really made friends up here in Minnesota. Anyone wanna hang out in the twin cities?? Actually I probably just need to actually meet up with some of the gals I met at the Healthy Living Summit!
11. Since switching to WordPress, the littlest things can be a challenge…lately I can’t figure out how to change the spacing between paragraphs or change my font. *sigh*
This post just got depressing…we need some funny confessions.
12. I painted my toenails about a month ago and haven’t taken the polish off. Don’t worry, I have clipped the nails since then.
13. I’ve worked at a gym for a month and have only worked out there twice. No joke.
14. Dave and I are gaming nerds. Err, really I have a closet addiction to playing Sims and he likes to play video games. Saturday mornings when we don’t have other plans are deemed video game time.
15. When Despicable Me comes out on DVD I am definitely buying it. And watching it immediately!
16. I am craving Skittles right now and will likely buy them on my next trip to Target.
17. I buy everything at Target. Seriously. Food, clothes, cleaning supplies, you name it.
18. I am more into Nebraska football now than I was when I lived in Nebraska. I yell at the television and everything.
19. I now watch The Walking Dead even though I told Dave after seeing the first episode of this season that I would NEVER watch it ever again. It is pretty gorey and somewhat emotionally draining…but I can’t help it. I want to know what happens next. (And it’s on tonight!!)
20. We have the most comfortable couch in all the land. I need to sit on it more often because typing up this post with the foot rest up feels glorious.
Alright, your turn…
Confess something! It can be serious or funny!
Maria
1. I’d go watch the newest Hunger Games with you – moving seats? What will they think of next?
2. That’s exactly why I switched from WordPress TO Blogger. I was tired of having to ask the husband how to make the simplest changes. Now with Blogger, I just change random things on a whim, not having to worry about messing them up. That being said, WordPress has a lot of other advantages that make it worthwhile.
3. I’ve tried to give up my beloved Diet Coke for a while now. It was hard telling myself no, so I stopped trying to give it up (that make sense?). Now I have one every blue moon and don’t beat myself up over it.
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
1. So I’ll see you in two weeks then? 😉
2. I can’t go back now…I made my move and sticking to it! It’s just challenging…coding bleh! And now my pictures are being funky on the posts when you look at them from the homepage…no idea why.
3. I actually only do one can a day now, so that’s pretty good, right? I’ve switched to coffee in the morning (not black) so that kind of makes up for it.
Katie Cummings
I will keep you updated on when I come to the cities next! I would love to get together!
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
Yes please do, Katie!! 🙂
Katie @ Daily Cup of Kate
I am so excited to see the second Hunger Games! We actually just rewatched the first one on Saturday!
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
Ooh I think it’s on Netflix (slash I know it is and have watched it twice already haha).
Katie Arnold
Maybe cut back to a dew a week and continue to cut back from there?
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
ha I cut back from like 3 a day to 1! Working on it…
Marissa
I CAN’T WAIT FOR CATCHING FIRE! I really want to re-read the books because I’m pretty sure I forgot 99% of what happens.
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
I read the whole series twice haha but that was like last summer! I might have to pick up the book again too!
ShannonLC
I have an e-mail reply half written to you but haven’t hit the send button. Sorry!
I have also hit the post last race of the year work out slump. I think Monday I might finally make it to the gym. Catching fire needs to get out in theaters stat! I can’t wait!!
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
I think part of my issue is also that I work on my feet all day so I don’t feel like going to the gym after haha! I would like to do some strength training though because back problems tend to creep up when I slack in that area. 🙂
Casey
I’m excited for the second hunger games movie too! One thing that helped me cure my soda addiction was getting a soda stream. Having fresh bubbly water with just lime or lemon juice has proven to be just as tasty for me once I got over the caffeine part.
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
That is a really good idea! I’ve always thought of that as just one more thing littering the kitchen counter but that’s genius for the bubbly cravings!!

Do me a favor and go for the Diet Dew before you jump in that tanning bed! feel ya on the depressingly gloomy days though. Have you ever thought about investing in a natural light lamp?http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/verilux-happylight-compact-energy-lamp/131367?device=c&network=g&matchtype=&mcid=PS_googlepla_nonbrand_none_&gclid=CI2GibnM3roCFU9o7Aodp1IAsQ I have a friend who swears by hers! 😀 And omg, every time I think about taking a break from blogging, I hit a stride and all I want to do is write…like I just can’t get the posts up fast enough! Haha! Oh and speaking of writing on WordPress…if you figure out how to change the font, LET ME KNOW! I’ve been wanting to do that for YEARS!
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
I have never heard of that light! It’s kind of funny because I flipped the other day when it was like 4pm, darkish outside and Dave was turning lights off in the apartment and closed the curtains because we were just sitting in the living room watching tv but I was like I NEED LIGHT!! Turn on all the lights!! haha
And that’s how I feel now! So many post ideas and recipes to share but unfortunately I can’t just sit and blog 24/7. Oh life. 😉
Heather Powers
Omg, YES! I HATE sitting in the dark! I don’t know why, but it just seems different from popping in a movie and turning off the lights…I get all claustrophobic or something! Haha!
Michelle
I also can’t wait for the new Hunger Games movie and buy almost everything at Target!
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
haha yes!!
Mollie Lyon
I’m excited for the new Hunger Games too! I’m guilty of tanning too! I don’t want to, but can’t stand being pale. Esp around my beautiful caramel skin family! lol I don’t go often tho.
You could try Zevia instead of diet mt dew. I don’t like the thought of you having to consume that artificial icky chemical stuff, lol! Really, though, I’ve gotten lucky and just do not like pop. I thought about it the other day and can’t even remember the last time I’ve bought any pop. been YEARS!
Don’t quit blogging! I would miss you! 🙂
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
haha I’ve gotten over the feeling pale thing for the most part (or I just use the Jergens gradual self-tanner). It was really bad in high school when my friends would make fun of me so I went tanning A LOT.
Zevia is just not the same! I have cut WAY back though. I think diet dew is one of those things that will probably be in my diet forever, just hopefully not in an excessive amount. 😉
And thank you! You are too kind!! <3
