I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
Mine was filled with hanging with the BF (sans his work phone…hooray!) watching him shoot at flying orange targets and being fried to a crisp in the process. Seriously, those sunburns catch you by surprise! At least they do me…one minute I’m shivering from the chill of the wind (holy cow was it windy Saturday!), then enjoying being warmed up by the sun, then noticing a bright pink line around my collar. Dangit.
Sunburn aside, it was a pretty marvelous weekend. Actually with quite a few moves!
I’m getting back into weights AND I even put my first full workout up on the blog last week (complete with pictures of me doing the moves…eek!). I really need to remember to write down or record everything I do because I am a bit fuzzy on the details so this is a rough estimate:
10 Moves for a Strong Lower Back here |

I signed up for a two week trial pass for Anytime Fitness so I’m pretty excited to check it out. Hopefully it helps me continue my fitness routine AND is easy on the wallet!
As I shared on Friday’s post, it was my three year blogiversary (blog-aniversary) yesterday! How crazy is that?? Not that I ever planned on blogging more than once…a month…in fact, check out my numbers my first two years of blogging.
The number in parenthesis is the number of posts I wrote each month. It looks like I posted once a month for four months, not at ALL for three months, then I jumped back into it with a whopping round of 6 posts in January.
Somewhere along the way, my friend Ashley told me to just set a goal of posting once a week. Doesn’t sound too hard does it? I set a reminder on my phone and managed to keep at it at least that number since April 2011.
This kind of makes me want to look back and think about why I started blogging. Take some time to refocus the blog. No time like the present, right?
Don’t be surprised if I get all nostalgic with throwback posts this month. Or if I bring in some experts on blogging topics that I’m still trying to figure out myself. Or if I decide I know enough to take a topic on myself. Blogging about blogging. Who’d have thought that would be happening here?
In celebration of this time in my blogging history…I’m starting off with a giveaway! One lucky reader will win a whole array of Lock Laces, or a way to never have to stop and tie your shoes again!
I tried out my new Lock Laces walking a couple of times and with my workout Sunday evening…all good so far! While I haven’t tried running in them, my friend Katie used them for her half marathon, so I’d say they are runner approved!
They are also stretchy, so the lazy girl in me is happy all around with not having to tie them AND slipping them off very easily!
Good luck to you all and I’m excited to see your comments!
Also linking up to Katie at Talk Less Say More’s Fitness Friday!

It would mean I dont have to double knot my shoe when I run.

Ah these would be perfect for the color run im doing in August!! I always have to double tie my running shoes and quite frankly it is always too tight on the feet! Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

I would love these!! double knotting my shoes is too much hassle

I would LOVE to use these for my walks/runs! And you are SO right. Walking is so much more fun with a friend. I cannot wait to go home this week and be able to go on walks with my mom.

I’d love to take the Locklaces out running. A lot! It’s time consuming enough to get my Injinji’s on (don’t get me wrong, I LOVE them, but toe socks are definitely harder to get on than “normal” socks) and I’d be happy to save some time and energy not having to tie my shoe laces too.. 🙂
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
Wow I didn’t even know that toe socks were used when running! Good luck!

I’d love to win these! One of my least favorite parts about working out is having to put my shoes on and off and untie the laces. These would be awesome for that 🙂

I need a pair of these. I got a pair once, but gave them to my mom. I’ll put these on my new triathlon shoes!

I’ve never even HEARD of these but they remind me of these crazy awesome spiral laces everyone in my class had to have for their shoes back in grade school (except these aren’t neon and probably keep your shoes tied properly!) Either way I would LOVE a pair to try out to see if I can bring some of those crazy childhood memories back 🙂
Amanda aka Semi-Health Nut
Oh my gosh I totally know what you’re talking about!! These are a bit different but still cool! 😉

I have one particular pair of shoes that refuse to stay tied no matter what I do, but they’re so cute that I refuse to get rid of them – these would be a life (and fashion) saver 🙂

Yay good luck!
