I took a surprisingly small amount of photos this holiday….okay I took some, but seriously, remember last Thanksgiving?? Lots of pictures…like this sweet one!
My sis Rachel and I hung out the night before to do some baking and like last year…she didn’t really do much of anything except be a goofball.
What did I expect?
I made this brownie-cookie-dough-pie that I adapted from Emily’s recipe. (The gal who’s giving away the cutest apron on my blog…make sure you enter!) Will be sharing how I made it soon!

Rachey and I went for a walk before going to have some din din at Grandma Kathy’s, which was nice…but goodness it is cold out here in Nebraska!
I walked into grandma’s kitchen and there was Dave (the BF) carving the turkey!
He got recruited again this year. Really, he’s just too nice and my family has realized this after 4 and a half years. Sorry, Dave…you will probably have to do this again next year!
I didn’t even take a picture of the food, but I did get a couple of my cousins eating at tv trays because the basement is getting full.
And a picture of the turkey line!
No family pictures this year either. Just spent time soaking in my goofy family. Seriously…we talk about the craziest things around the dinner table!
I spent some time with my dad’s side of the family as well. The only picture that resulted was one of me and my cousin, but I’m not gonna complain about this adorable picture.
I left there and went to Dave’s parent’s house where I had some delicious leftovers that I managed to get a phone picture of.
Dave fell asleep pretty much when I came over so I spent time catching up with his family and watching a James Bond movie.
Dave and I spent pretty much all of Friday together being lazy and watching Netflix. We did eventually venture out to have some Olive Garden which was amazing.
It was fun going on a date since he’s gone so flippin much he barely has time to recover from driving 4 hours home the 3 weekends a month he is home, that most of our time is spent with his family or other friends he doesn’t get to see very often. Not really complaining (okay, I do really miss him), but the one-on-one time was just what the doctor ordered.
And of course, no pictures of the two of us looking all adorable. Sometimes it’s nice living in the moment and not photographing every moment of my life…but I hate that feeling of “dang, I had my camera…why didn’t I use it??”
Oh well, Christmas is in a month!! And I will have a new baby nephew then…eeek!!
I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and took time to think about what you are thankful for! If you did a blog post about your thankfulness…head over to my 30 Days of Thanks Link Up #3 to share it! 🙂
Speaking of which..brag moment! Dailybuzz Healthy Living featured my 30 Days of Thanks post on Thursday!
It was kind of cool because it was a moment when I needed that recognition…I’m thanking God for that perfect timing. 🙂
God is good! Much love to you all!
