WIAW {What I Ate Wednesday}
or
WIBEL {What I’ve Been Eating Lately}
(More of my WIAW here.)
Yep, that was my intro. Here’s the food!
Breakfast: On days I travel to school, this is exactly what my breakfast looks like. Crunchy peanut butter and jelly toast with my gummy vitamins and allergy meds in a container so I can eat it on my hour-long drive to school.
Salads: I’ve been trying to get more veggies in, so spinach salads have been crossing my path quite frequently as of late.
This weird concoction was eaten during babysitting because I forgot the buns to pair with my boca burger. (Seriously, I just giggled at the word “buns,” I might be tired or maybe it made you laugh too?)
Spinach on the bottom, heated boca burger, whole grain mustard and feta cheese with a side of chips leftover from on of my frequent Subway stops on campus.
Another fun salad! Spinach, cottage cheese, peppers leftover from Halloween pumpkin carving festivities and churritos leftover from my Mexican foodie trip.
Dinner: I also tried Five Guys Burger and Fries for the first time ever! Dave (the BF) has been raving about it for awhile, but I’m not a huge fast food person, so haven’t gotten around to trying it.
I’d say it was very much like eating a burger at a grill out as opposed to a burger at a fast food chain or even a restaurant like Applebees (which is probably my favorite place to get a burger).
Please note that the portions are E-NORM-OUS. Seriously. The regular burger is a double. And for the fries, expect about double the container size since they fill the container and then add an extra scoop to the bag. Plan accordingly. 😉
Also enjoy this hilarious video about the burger joint:
Dessert: I made some semi-healthy cookies the other night for when Dave came home after 12 days of being out of town (goodness I miss him so much when he’s gone!)
I am very excited about these because a. They tasted amazing, b. the texture was perfect, c. the batch was small, so not as much of a temptation to eat a lot of the dough (although who are we kidding…I definitely did!).
You may have noticed my giddy tweet on Twitter Tuesday night because they really were pure perfection.
PS I am dangerously close to a twitter follower goal…if you don’t already, follow me for updates, semi-healthy info on fitness and food plus inspirational quotes because I can’t get enough of them, and also a little bit of pure randomness. Thank you if you are already a Twitter friend, I have seriously met some awesome people through Twitter and the blog and I heart all of you!!
You can participate on the Semi-Healthy blog Facebook, Twitter and a Thankful Thursday link-up right here on the blog! The first link-up is tomorrow friends! 🙂

I have never had a Five Guys burger…do they have veggie ones? (Totally not the same… I know…)
LOVE those Garden Salsa Sun Chips. I can’t buy them because I cannot have them near me. This applies to Sun Chips in general, actually.
