Boy am I having trouble focusing today! (I may or may not be WAY TOO excited about all of the guest posting I’ve been doing…it’s so fun to connect with different crowds!! Although, I love blogging for my friends here best!)
Have you ever had one of those days where there’s a bazillion things on your mind so you’re kind of walking around like a zombie and when someone talks to you–you’re a little startled? Because someone has interrupted your mental to-do slash to-ponder-about list?
The heat may also be a little bit to blame. The cool front is coming in though…it’s only going to be 92 degrees tomorrow! Perfect for a run right?? (Hey it was 104 out today so I’m excited!)
I was also a little zombie-ish on this WIAW food day. Saturday I worked at the farmer’s market. I know some of you get all excited about the farmer’s market..the fresh produce and buying straight from the farmer..and rainbows and sunshine and saving money…
But have you ever attempted to serve hot lattes and blend up smoothies while outside all day at a market? I’m guessing not. It can be fun, don’t get me wrong. I love seeing people I know and testing out new drinks, but holy goodness it was scorching outside on Saturday!!
(Never heard of WIAW? It’s a fun way of sharing what I ate for a whole day…for more details on my WIAW click here.)
{Breakfast} 6am: Cookie Dough Nutty Butter on whole wheat toast. (possible review on the nutty butter coming soon) I also downed a diet dew to get motivated to do some heavy lifting.
{Elevensies} 11am: Kiddo breakfast burrito with sausage from an awesome stand at the market.
Okay there are some good things about working there…
Had this perfect second-breakfast with some iced coffee.
{Hydration} 12pm: In addition to the oodles of water I was consuming..I blended up a diluted peach smoothie to give me motivation to pack up the coffee stand.
{Lunch} 3pm: Jimmy John’s sandwich to which I added peppers, spinach and sandwich sauce. Because they stopped putting sprouts in the Turkey Tom..did you know that? It needed more veggies!
I spread out eating the sandwich over a couple of hours. Like a slow zombie eating. (I may nix the zombie reference now.)
{Dinner} 7pm: A macaroni experiment. My mom used to reheat macaroni in the frying pan with some eggs and call it dinner. I did something similar…and added edamame to the mix. It was alright. Mom’s was so much better!
I added chili fritos for crunch (and to try to help it out…will have to work on this meal).
{Dessert/Bedtime Snack} 9pm: Green tea plus some adorable whole wheat lemon doodle cookies (modified recipe of my classic lemon doodle cookie to come!)
My sisters came over to watch the final episode of Food Network Star. It was awesome. And filled with silliness.

Okay time for this spacey gal to get some zzzs! I have a big day at the DMV tomorrow (after my 3.5 mile run!)…gotta figure out how to pay for plates and car taxes for my new beautifully expensive driving A/C unit (pretty much how I view it these days) AND get a new driver’s license because I CANNOT FIND MINE. I’ve never lost my license for more than a day and I’m super sad I have to actually look presentable at the DMV incase they want to take a new picture. I know, life is rough.
Have a great evening friends!
P.S. 33 (as in WIAW #33) was how many years Jesus lived. Amazing right?? There’s no way anyone could accomplish what He did in such a short amount of time!!
P.P.S. What do you think of my new header and background? I worked hard and think I got what I was going for…but still appreciate your opinions!
As always, linking up to my friend Jenn at Peas and Crayons! Check out her amazing blog and some other WIAW posts:
