I haven’t done a Friday Five Foodie Finds for…awhile. (Oh I just checked..it was a month ago.)
That’s okay though! I just selected the best of the best over the last month. 😉
Truth be told, I’m not a very good blog reader. Not that in a normal world this would be considered a bad trait, but I feel like as a blog writer, I should also be a reader.
I felt bad going to Blend and not knowing every single detail about the lives of the “bigger” bloggers. I also felt bad I hadn’t heard of certain bloggers that EVERYONE knew about.
Sorry Lindsay, I still am not sure if you live in Colorado now and sorry Tina, I have no idea if this is your first marathon. But I still love you ladies and love reading your blogs when I do! |
It’s not that I don’t care about these blogs, but I already feel like taking pictures, editing them, writing a post, and promoting a post already takes enough time out of the day. Time that I could spend cleaning my bathroom…man I need to clean my bathroom.
I’ve been reading a few blogs this week and in many of them…I feel so out of the loop! Tina, one of my favorites, is running (her first?) marathon and I didn’t even know about it until yesterday! Apparently she told everyone MONTHS ago and all the other readers are AGAIN wishing her good luck. Again, it’s not that I don’t care about the girl, but I didn’t read that particular post (or posts…sigh).
Well, here are some amazing looking recipes that I’ve found in the last month when I was actually reading blogs. 😉
Hello healthiness in an edible bowl! Plus I still want to try to make quinoa!!
Original recipe from BHG.com
Seriously, you guys know how much I adore peanutbutter and jelly. This sounds like heaven!
I have yet to make guacamole yet, however I am becoming a big fan of avacados (evidence here and here). More guac posts by the amazing Jenn: Guac this Way
This was labeled “The Forgotten Recipe” since it was in Lee’s drafts or to-be-posted section on the blog for a few weeks. I have folders upon folders of these on my desktop so I can definitely relate! I am actually hoping to get some of these done this summer…fingers crossed!!
Making granola bars is super fun. It’s like making healthy cookies. Mine were a little messy, so I’m curious to see if Katie’s recipe is more portable (and just as yummy!).
I may or may not have spent a couple of hours looking through her food posts a couple of weeks ago.
Thinking about it now, the reason I cut back on reading blog posts is that I would spend HOURS reading them (for example the Peas and Crayons stalking above) when I should have been doing homework. Why do I feel guilt for not doing that now?
Help me out, is it rude to not read as many blog posts as I write posts? That I hope people will be reading my posts when I might not read theirs?
This is not the biggest problem in the world, or on my mind by any means, but I’d love some input from my blog friends!! 🙂
Have a great weekend everyone!
P.S. I’m running my first half marathon Sunday!! So nervous and excited!! 🙂
