{First of all: Did you enter my Fitmixer Giveaway?? It closes today, so head on over and come back for the rest of this post!!}
Since it was the Daddio’s birthday the night I got back from Blend, we didn’t celebrate it until that Saturday.
It was a little challenging getting together since he is fasting certain things (fasting and prayer time at church).
We decided to head to Jason’s Deli for lunch on Saturday.
Sister Courtney and Daddio |
Jason’s Deli reminds me a little of Panera, however I feel it is a little more healthy. (Note: Just because this is how I feel, does not make it a fact.)
You go in, order at the counter and they bring out your fresh food right to the table. The convenience of a fast-food joint, but the quality of a sit-down restaurant. You do, however have to refill your own drink…if you can manage that.
I got another Amy’s Turkey-O on a croissant (here for nutrition info). Yep, the same sandwich as last time.
This lovely sandwich has turkey, avocado, red onion and whole mustard deliciousness.
One of the lovely halfs was taken home for lunch the next day…had to eat it asap because of the avocado!! |
BF got soup and salad bar…wow was that a huge salad!
Don’t worry, I helped him finish it. 😉
There was also icecream…which I didn’t eat since there was also a ginormous chocolate chip cookie to be demolished.
I actually intended to eat it…but the cookie…cookies are my favorite. 🙂 |
I’m glad we got together to celebrate..even if it was almost a week late. Dad deserves to be celebrated!
He wouldn’t let me take a picture of his funny face he was making because “the whole world will see.” He has such faith in how big my blog is haha! |
In case you didn’t know, I live with the Daddio. He is a very neat and tidy person…and I tend to be more on the creative side with projects everywhere and piles of things and pads of ideas on papers. I also tend to wreck the kitchen and get too tired to clean it up right away. He should probably kick me out for the mess factor alone!
Not only does he tolerate me, he encourages me every opportunity he can. He was the one that convinced me to walk for my graduation, even though it was only from the community college.
Dad and I at my graduation. Love him! |
He also promotes my blog so much he should probably get a cut (of what…I’m not sure…).
He is beloved by everyone he meets and I don’t feel like people take the time to tell him how awesome he is.
Dad: You’re awesome!
When he is done with his fasting of various things, he is getting a nice big carrot cake. Because that is his favorite. 😉
Although it might not be a from scratch one. Sister Courtney and I tried that last year and it was a crazy mess.
Well, I am off to get to my afternoon to-do list!
Yes, I have a day off in the middle of the week. No, don’t get too excited for me…I worked 12 hours Monday and got home at midnight, worked again Tuesday at 7am plus I have 10 hours of work on the agenda tomorrow…okay it’s babysitting the twins, but still. 😉
Have a great Wednesday folks! I might be back if I can fit my WIAW post in!
