Hello Friends!
How is your week going? It is almost Friday! Woot! Any plans?
I am planning on a run date with the BF and I am SO EXCITED because he’s been gone most of October and November. Then we are heading to small town, Iowa for a childhood friend’s wedding. So many weddings this year!
Another Small Town Wedding This Year |
Exclamation points!!
I am on such a workout high (possibly similar to a runner’s high) from Body Pump and a mile walk run afterward. Gotta love the workouts that leave you feeling rejuvinated instead of dead. To be quite honest I felt dead the first time I did Body Pump but now I am getting stronger so I don’t feel like keeling over half-way through the workout. (Check out my thankful day #6)
#30daysofthanks
I have decided to take on a personal challenge of taking time each day to recognize one thing I am thankful for. I am posting on Facebook and Twitter (you might as well follow if you aren’t already 😉 ) and I am using the hashtag #30daysofthanks.
Here is my list so far:
Day 1: I am thankful for my Chili’s friends!
I worked at Chili’s for 3 years with these pretty ladies. Four of us haven’t even worked there for a couple of years but we still keep in touch! 🙂
Day 2: I am thankful for chocolate.
Need I say more? |
Day 3: I am thankful for parking in a garage. All my life until this last year I have had to get up early and scrap the windows. How awesome is it to not have to freeze your tush off early in the morning??
Day 4: I am so thankful I get to sleep in on Friday mornings! I work at my wing-n-beer joint Fridays at 11 and it’s glorious to be able to sleep in and even work on my Friday Five Foodie Finds posts before work.
Sleep=good.
Day 5: I am thankful for jeans that fit perfectly.

After 20 something years of life I FINALLY found jeans I love. Silver jeans to be exact. I’m a jeans and t-shirt gal so jeans are tres important in my life. 🙂
Day 6: I am thankful for workouts SO GOOD I’m sore for days! (This was me being positive about being sore 5 days after my first Body Pump class).
Day 7: I’m so thankful for the ability to run! I take this for granted so often. I hurt my back and couldn’t run for a few months this year and it was TERRIBLE. I’m getting back into it a bit and keep track of it on Daily Mile. It’s a great site and the people there keep me motivated…mostly because they kick my butt at running.
Day 8: I’m thankful for my education. Sometimes class is SO IRRITATING, however, I must remind myself that some people do not get the opportunity to pursue higher learning. I am very blessed to be able to go to the local community college and (yay) transfer to a university to study Nutrition, Exercise and Health Sciences. 🙂 🙂
Day 9: I’m thankful I get to live with my Daddio free of charge! (Besides the occasional baked goods/ dinners)
P.S. He is a serious fan of my blog and I think I realized this when he handed out goodies for Halloween (leftovers from my party) and printed out my blog site and a picture from my blog and put it by the goodies. (Free advertising?) LOVE MY DADDIO!
Christmas last year. That’s me on the left with the goofy hair, my dad, and one of my sisters |
Day 10: You might already know this, since I brag on him a lot..but I am thankful for a super supportive BF. He is my #1 fan and he is always encouraging me and lifting me up…even when I am being very difficult and hard to be around. He also motivates me to push myself..not only by his words, but by his actions. He is a very hard worker and has to travel a lot but he does it with a smile.
{And he’s funny and cute and charming and sincere and a gentleman and strong and manly and loving and respectful and understanding and smart and gives good hugs and…}
Woot for the BF!

Won’t you join me in sharing your thanks this month? It’s not too late!! #30daysofthanks
Or you can share on the blog! I LOVE hearing what people are thankful for! We are so blessed and we don’t even realize it most of the time!
