So…
the last time I tried to get into training for a race..I hurt my back at work and had to do physical therapy for a couple of months.

And I was actually getting really into it!

Being out of Town is NO EXCUSE to Not Work Out April 13, 2011~>went 6 miles this day

Hurt myself April 18th and I was told I couldn’t run for awhile and therefore couldn’t run the race I paid for (3 months ago today!!)
Then the blog turned into more of a food blog..  (Not a bad thing eh?)

Recently I actually tried  to get back into running on the fourth of july and I irritated a cyst/some cysts in my ovary (thought it was just cramps or a stitch in my side from not having run for a long time…) and it ruptured the next day…TMI?  Well, just sayin that I have been a little leery of starting on the journey of running again.

How fast am I? 
To give you a reference point I am somewhere between a snake and a mongoose.  And a panther.  (Dwight K. Schrute, The Office, Season 3)

Lately I have been a little bored…work is slow, I’m only taking one class online and its not stressful because I LOVE IT (Nutrition), and the BF is now working a real job…40-50 hours a week.  Thus, the reconsideration of running again.  There is a marathon/half-marathon/10K run September 25, 2011 and I’m going to go for the 10K.  Safe right?  6 miles…I have run 6 miles before so shouldn’t be too bad.

I went back into my files and found my training schedules and modified them a bit so now I have a…

If you aren’t able to see this, I can send it as an attachment in an e-mail.  This was as clear as I could get it.
I actually ran a mile today…in hundred degree weather…it was awful and amazing at the same time.  I don’t recommend it, but I needed to do it today!  Such a stress reliever and a good ego boost to be able to set a goal and accomplish it…even though the goal was only to run a mile.  🙂
